Much of my artwork explores the idea of a lost city and the ghost of a civilisation through creating a landscape of sculptures, some of which resemble ancient and futuristic statues. The use of plaster covered in paint is important in my work as it crumbles away over time much like a ruin. The dusty and ever changing quality of the sculptures, reminds me of a landscape, which I have fragmented memories about from my childhood. This forgotten landscape is Sudan.
